Alive yet Dead
Today I would like to talk about the living dead church, it's quite an expectation that most men think within themselves that everything is okay, compromise has entered the church and many believers think they're right with God yet actually have moved from the presence of God.
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
This portrays that men have been snared out of the will of the Father and have taken a different spirit upon themselves thinking that they walk with the Holy Ghost yet that's not the case, Isiah the prophet warns us
Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
The spirit of God is life through Christ Jesus, yet sin has death within it according to James.
A believer who has been swayed and seduced by the will of the flesh, world and the devil to obey it's desires and forget the purpose of the cross is at a dangerous point and that's why Christ calls unto us to turn back.
Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
We are called to repent and return to the ways of Holiness and righteousness, being dependant upon Christ, the word and Holy spirit, Jesus implies that He is merciful and us being the flock of His pastures He is eager to see us back to His watch and care.
He states that we be watchful meaning we have fallen asleep, our prayers, bible reading and everything that's basic to the faith has been toned down and taken lightly, we've become busy chasing the world instead of first securing our Kingdom duties.
He speaks of strengthening what is remained illustrating weakness has become our covering, many saints are loosing faith with God and trusting vanities, replaced joy of the Lord with entertainment, what was sacred unto the faith being replaced with things that don't add value but makes people vulnerable to the schemes of the evil one.
Christ gives a warning for us to be watchful for an hour comes when He will take the church and the question remains what if you're not ready? Will you bear the pain of being left behind by the savior or you'll strive, awaken and be in strength to Persue Christ in all faithfulness.
So brothers and sisters let's stay alert, being watchful and been extra keen for these are the last and final days, let's return to Christ, let us be renewed and filled with the Holy spirit, let's keep our robes white as we await the bridegroom.
Be Alive in your Spirit and God who is faithful will establish you till the end.
May God bless you.
