Pick up the cross.

Heaven our promised home and hope is seem to stray far and further for most of the believers, it's a sad state by which men are growing cold in their walk of faith, often men have resorted to be friend to the world and trust their own hearts.

“I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

  — Luke 18:8 (KJV)

This question by our lord gives a worrying state of the church and the world, we have become faithless in the things of God yet chasing vain things of the flesh, world and the devil.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”

It's sad that those who were precious unto the eyes of God have turned their glory to wickedness, it's a high time that men ought to question themselves, to sit down and think again within their soul and spirit which is more important to them, do they have what it takes to carry the cross?

²⁷ And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

²⁸ For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

²⁹ Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

³⁰ Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Let's not gamble with salvation and eternity, being alert and decisive is way more important to our walk in faith, let's abandon every form of ungodliness and sinful life and let's strive to a better and Holy life. 

Repentance is the only way forward, carrying the cross daily and holding to what's is right in the Spirit of God.
