“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (KJV)
Sin, an enemy of God, brought into this world by the fall of man alienating us from the presence of God. We who walked with God in the garden were separated, the perfect relationship and cord that linked us unto God severed away. So man descended upon sin,
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
— Genesis 6:5 (KJV)
— Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV)
“This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.”
— Ecclesiastes 9:3 (KJV)
In all this we were lost, but God is Merciful, just, kind and long-suffering, He saw we can never save ourselves, and no amount of animal sacrifice would blot out our sins, He initiated a plan to save us.
Isaiah came and spoke of a savior, salvation was now in picture in the plan of God, John came preparing a way for the lamb of God, finally Jesus was here, to bear our burden “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
— Matthew 11:30 (KJV)
To die for us, to justify us who were wicked
“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.”
— Proverbs 17:15 (KJV)
He became a curse that we may be a blessing, he bore our sins, became a mediator for us with God, that by one man salvation was restored and we got the adoption of sons.
Romans 5 (KJV)

⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
¹¹ And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Therefore we should abound more in the grace, seek Jesus, leaving the old life behind. Acts 2 shows us the way of salvation
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
— Acts 2:38 (KJV)
Let us walk in the path of faith and obedience, bearing fruits, dwelling in repentance and relying on the spirit of God.
